Brander Guevara made his first start in the Liga Mexicana de Béisbol and was solid. The Cuban hurler threw 4⅓ innings in which he gave up two hits ,an earned run and fanned three during the Conspiradores de Querétaro’s 8-2 thrashing of the Tigres de Quintana Roo. For Guevara it was his second appearance and his earned run average fell to 6.23 on the campaign.
Rangel Ravelo helped out the cause for Querétaro with three hits, including an two-run double in the ninth inning to cement the Conspiradores win. The Cuban slugger also scored three times on the night and saw his average rise to .315 om the season.
Elían Leyva tossed seven innings of six-hit, two-run ball during the Dorados de Chihuahua’s 5-4 loss to the Saraperos de Saltillo. Although the Cuban right-hander did not factor in the decision he still fanned six and watched his earned run average descend to 6.58 on the season.
Albert Lara went yard for the sixth time on the season a solo-shot in the fifth inning and also drove in a run via a double in the ninth inning of the Algodoneros de Unión Laguna’s 5-4 win over the Caliente de Durango. Lara is now hitting .342 on the campaign.
