Raisel Iglesias saved his 19th game of the season after throwing a scoreless ninth inning during which he fanned a batter to help secure Atlanta’s 4-3 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals. The hurler from the Isle of Youth saw his ERA descend to 2.23 on the year.
Nolan Arenado collected a hit in four trips to the plate and knocked in a run via a double in the top of the fifth inning of the Arizona Diamondbacks 5-3 win over the World Champion Dodgers. The Cuban-American third baseman has now driven in 40 runs on the season.
