Yandy Díaz Hits a Home Run in His 1,000th Major League Game.

Yandy Díaz reached 1,000 Major League games played during Tuesday’s action as the Tampa Bay Rays defeated the Toronto Blue Jays by a 12-2 count. The standout Cuban celebrated the milestone by crushing a three-run home run in the victory. Díaz in total went 2-for-6 on the evening, with one of his hits being his 14th home run of the 2026 season. The slugger also drove in three runs with the blast and scored twice.

Nick Fortes also joined in on the act for Tampa Bay by homering for the second straight day, this time the Cuban-American catcher launched a fifth inning three-run shot off Lázaro Estrada. Fortes has now driven in five runs over the last two days abd hits .348 over his last seven games.

Luis Robert Jr swatted a 451-foot homerun, his only hit in five trips to the plate to account for his only run drive in on the night to do his part in the New York Mets 4-0 blanking of the Milwaukee Brewers. For the outfielder who recently came off the IL it was his third longball off the campaign. Robert Jr also raised his average to .213 on the year.
