Aroldis Chapman needed just 11 pitches nine of which were strikes to help secure a Red Sox’s 3-2 win over the Dodgers and retire the side in the ninth inning. His sinker topped out at 100 mph. For the Cuban closer, it was his 27th save of the season in 29 opportunities and the 394th of his illustrious MLB career.
Nolan Arenado went yard for the for the 15th time on the season and also scored two runs to do his part in the Arizona Diamondbacks’ 12-8 win over the Cleveland Guardians. The Cuban-American infielder and now sports a .748 OPS on the season.
