Guillermo Heredia keeps raking in the KBO (+Asian League Report)

Guillermo Heredia continues to rake in Korea. This morning the outfielder from Matanzas, Cuba banged out three hits in four trips to the plate and scored a run to pace SSG’s 3-2 victory over the Kiwoom Heroes.

The outfielder who is hitting .344 on the season is fourth amongst foreign hitters and is slashing .417/.500/.917. Heredia has also hit safely in six of his last eight games on the season.

Ariel Martínez slowly but surely finding his way with the bat, although he still barely over the Mendoza line in the last three games Martínez has collected three hits and driven in two runs. On the day the Cuban backstop collected a hit in four at-bats and drove in a run to help Nippon Ham down Rakuten 5-3.

In the minors Dayán Viciedo had a good day with the wood, the power hitting first baseman swatted two hits and knocked in a run to aid Chunichi in their 13-7 victory over Hanshin second squad. In five games on the farm Viciedo is hitting a robust .467 and slashing .566/.600/1.166.
