Dariel Álvarez continues to hit, but Guadalajara falls.(+Mexican League Report)

Dariel Álvarez collected three hits in four trips to the plate and drove in a run, but Guadalajara was downed by Aguascalientes 9-4. The outfielder from Camagüey, Cuba has started off the season hitting a solid .326 and has driven in six runs in the LMB this season.

Félix Pérez continues to swing a hot lumber. In last night’s game the slugger from the Isle of Youth swatted a run scoring double in the first inning to aid the cause in Tijuana’s 7-5 win over Puebla. Pérez also drew two walks on the evening and watched his average jump to a respectable .271 on the year. The reigning league MVP is fourth in the Mexican circuit with 14 runs knocked in.

Peter O’Brien drove in a run for the Pericos in the loss. The Cuban-American outfielder watched his average fall to .295 on the season and now sports a sterling 1.045. The Miami native also up his RBI count to eight on the campaign.
