Yadiel Hernández debuts with Monterrey (+Mexican League Report)

Yadiel Hernández who was recently released by the Washington Nationals made his debut in the Liga Mexicana de Béisbol last night with the Sultanes de Monterrey in the team’s 5-0 loss to Monclova. The outfielder went 0-for-2 with a base on ball.

On another note right-hander Pavel Hernández was activated by the Rieleros de Aguascalientes. The flamethrowing hurler from Havana is one of the up and coming prospects in Cuban Baseball figures to see action in the near future.

Although Guadalajara lost and 11-7 shootout to Tijuana, Dariel Álvarez continues to hit. Last the outfielder knocked in a run in his three at-bats to watch his average jump to .325 on the young campaign. The native of Camagüey, Cuba a major acquisition for the Mariachis this offseason.
