Yunesky Maya is masterful in México City’s thrashing of Puebla (+Mexican League Report)

Yunesky Maya hurled five innings of five hit ball where he retired three via the punch out in México City’s thrashing of Puebla 25-2. The crafty Cuban right-hander not only notched his first win of the season, but also saw his ERA drop to .279 on the campaign.

Yunieski Larduet y Yosmany Guerra were the sparkplugs to Campeche’s 7-3 victory over Yucatán. The duo hit leadoff and second on the night combining for seven hits, two runs batted in and two runs scored. Larduet who the season started off slow is now hitting .318 on the campaign, while the recently signed Guerra (.353) is swinging a hot lumber since his incorporation with the Piratas.

Félix Pérez continues to terrorize aztec pitching. In yesterday’s contest the reigning league MVP went yard and drove in four runs to lead Tijuana to a 7-2 win over Guadalajara. The slugger from the Isle of Youth also laced a run scoring double on the evening and is hitting .319 on the season. Pérez now leads the LMB with eight homeruns and his 24 RBIs place him second in the circuit in that category.
