Rusney Castillo plays the hero and Guadalajara sweeps Veracruz in a double header. (+Mexican League Report)

Rusney Castillo collected three hits, knocked in two runs and scored twice to lead Guadalajara to a sweep of a double header of Veracruz 4-3,10-6. The ex-big leaguer who was recently activated is hitting .368.

On another note and although he did not factor in the decision Odrisamer Despaigne pitched effectively in the first game of the twin billing tossing 6 ⅔ innings of 10 hit and three-run ball. The righty from Havana also struck out five and saw his ERA drop to 5.64 on the season.

Maikel Serrano and Roel Santos combined for three hits, drove in two runs and scored three times to aid Tabasco in there 8-2 win over Dos Laredos. Santos and Serrano are hitting .277 and .303 respectively.
