The shortstop from Santiago de Cuba saw his batting average fall to .303 on the season.
Although Willie Escala did not get a hit in his three turns in the batters box, but he still managed to drive in a run in Sussex’s loss to Ottawa 9-6. The Cuban-American saw his average fall to .192 on the season.
In the American Association Daniel Pérez connected a hit in four trips to the plate and scored once in Sioux City 17-7 thrashing of Sioux Falls. The first baseman from Cienfuegos Cuba saw his average fall to .243 on the campaign.
