JC Escarra continues to massacre pitching in the Atlantic League. (+Independent League Report)

JC Escarra continues to punish the pitching in the Atlantic League. The Cuban-American slugger knocked in a run via a double in the eighth inning and scored a run in Gastonia’s 8-3 win over Frederick. The Miami native is hitting a robust .361 and is second in the Atlantic League in RBIs with 26.

Alex Toral drove in a run via a bases loaded, but did not get a hit on the evening in New Jersey’s 6-3 victory over Evansville in the Frontier League. The Miamian who drew two walks on the evening also saw his average fall to .216 on the campaign.

Adán Fernández drove in a run via a hit in two trips to the plate to do his part in Quebec’s 8-1. Fernández who also scored on the evening upped his RBI total to four on the season and held his batting average at a steady .250.
