Félix Pérez went yard twice and now has five homeruns in Tijuana’s playoff series with Saltillo. The Toros edged the Saraperos 7-6 to take a commanding 3-1 series lead and with a win tonight could punch their ticket to the next round of the Mexican League playoffs.
Pérez in his own right has had a dream postseason. The slugger leads the playoffs in homeruns, extra-base hits (5), runs scored (9), slugging (1.533) and OPS (2.165).
JC Escarra hit a key solo-shot in his four, drove in a run and also scored on an occasion to do his part in Unión Laguna’s 4-3 extra-inning victory over Monterrey. With the win the Algodoneros tied the series at two, Escarra been a key figure for his squad hitting .375 and knocked in six runs during the series.
