With his perfect evening in the Gigantes del Cibao’s 6-4 win over the Estrellas Orientales Henry reached 100 hits during his career in the Dominican Winter League. The slugger knocked in a run and the reigning league batting champion also saw his average rise .292 on the campaign.
In Venezuela Edgar Escobar tossed five innings in which he gave up two runs via five hits and fanned three to notch his third victory on the season in the LVBP. The Caribes de Anzoátegui downed the Leones del Caracas 9-8 and Escobar now sports a 6.10 ERA in the circuit.
In Puerto Rico Adeiny Hechavarría and Félix Stevens combined for four hits, five runs batted in and four runs scored to lead Carolina to a 9-3 thrashing of Mayagüez in the LBPRC. The two Cubans are now hitting .287 and .300 on the season respectively.
