Ariel Miranda continues to dominate in the LVBP. The left-hander from Mayabeque, Cuba tossed six scoreless innings where he only surrendered three hits and fanned nine. La Guaira thrashed Magallanes 10-2 and Miranda has now tossed 12 straight scoreless innings to watch his ERA descend to 1.72 in his brief time with the team.
In the LIDOM Coco Montes collected three hits in five trips to the plate and also knocked in a run to do his part in the Águilas’ 7-3 win over the Toros. The Cuban-American shortstop has stabilized the position for the Dominican and is hitting .269 on the season. Yadiel Hernández also swatted two hits in five trips to the plate and scored to run to help the cause.

In México Yasmany Tomás went yard for the eighth time on the season and knocked in a run to aid Los Mochis in the 5-2 victory over Mexicali. The slugger has now driven in 23 runs and is hitting a solid .282 on the season. After a slow start Tomás has been swinging a hot stick in recent games and has now homered in two of his last three games.
In Nicaragua Rubi Silva laced three hit in five at-bats and drove in a run and Chinandega edged León 7-6. Silva is now hitting .356 and leads the LBPN with 37 hits. The outfielder also sports a robust .868 OPS on the campaign.
