Andy Pagés collected two hits, one of them being a two-run fifth inning shot , but the Dodgers fell to the Rangers 8-6. The outfielder has now driven in five runs on the spring for the team from tinsel town.
Aroldis Chapman made his spring debut by striking out three batters in an inning of work in Pittsburgh’s 5-3 loss to the Tigers. The left-hander from Holguín, Cuba also walked a batter and gave up a longball during the outing with his new ballclub.
Lourdes Gurriel Jr went yard for the first time on the spring amongst his two hits during his three trips to the plate. Arizona defeated Cleveland by an 8-6 count and Gurriel is now hitting a gaudy .500 during the preseason.
