Albert Lara went yard and singled in two at-bats, drove in two runs and scored on another occasion, but Unión Laguna fell to Aguacalientes 15-7. Lara has made the most of his limited trips to the dish hitting a robust .381 and has now driven in three runs on the season.
Newly acquired Greg Veliz made his debut pitching a scoreless inning in relief for the Rieleros The Cuban -American righty has seen action in the Angels farm system and was a star at the University of Miami. Expect the Floridan to see a lot of action out of the pen in the near future.
Although he left without a decision, right-hander Miguel Romero (6.0IP,3H,0ER,4K) had a quality outing tonight for the @ConspiradoresQr, that included retiring the great Robinson Canó via strikeout.
