Ariel Miranda is masterful in a Campeche win. (+Mexican League Report)

Ariel Miranda tossed six innings of two-hit , no-run ball and struck out three to notch his second game of the season during Campeche’s 5-1 victory over Querétaro. The left-hander saw his ERA descend to 2.97 on the season.

Yosmany Guerra laced three hits, drove in four runs and homered for the third time on the season and Querétaro won the second game 8-6 to split  the series with Campeche. The diminutive but powerful infielder continues to be very productive at 41 years of age and hits .365 on the season.

Lázaro Alonso and Luis Avilés Jr combined for four hits, a run scored and a run batted in to do their part Durango’s 4-2 win over Jalisco. The infielder’s now hit .278 and .286 respectively.
