Félix Pérez swatted his third longball of the season and drove in two runs during the Olmecas de Tabasco’s 8-6 win in the second game of a doubleheader with Oaxaca. The Cuban slugger watched his average rise to .391 and has now driven in 17 runs on the campaign.
In the first game Roel Santos drove the game’s only run for Tabasco via a triple in three trips to the plate during their 2-1 loss to Oaxaca. The speedster now hits a robust .355 on the season and has taken over the leadoff spot since coming over from Querétaro.
Though he didn’t factor in the decision Ariel Miranda tossed a solid five innings in which he allowed three runs via four hits and fanned eight. Campeche downed Quintana Roo 5-3 and his ERA fell to 3.72 on the season.
Lázaro Alonso and Luis Avilés Jr combined for six hits, four doubles, three RBIs and two runs scored to lead Durango to an 8-7 win over Monterrey. The sluggers saw their averages rise to .326 and .270 respectively.
