Néstor Cortés tossed 6⅔ innings of four-hit, one-run ball in the Yankees’ 5-2 win over Washington. The left-hander fanned five and saw his ERA descend to 3.89 on the campaign. Over his last three starts the hurler has a 3-0 record, 0.44 ERA and 18 strikeouts.

Randy Arozarena belted his 17th longball of the campaign, a three-run third inning shot to lead Seattle to a 5-1 win over Tampa Bay. The talented outfielder is three homers away from his fourth straight 20-20 season.

Dairon Blanco collected a hit in four trips to the plate and scored a run to do his part in Kansas City’s 9-4 victory in the second game of a Doubleheader. The outfielder also stole his 24th base on the campaign. Blanco is hitting a blistering .474 over his last seven games.
