Raisel Iglesias notched his 32nd save of the season and his first six out save of the campaign after throwing a scoreless inning in which he fanned a batter to secure Atlanta’s 5-4 victory over Miami. The right-hander who has a case for the Trevor Hoffman Award and saw his ERA descend to 1.78 on the season.
Zach Neto went yard twice and knocked in six runs, while also scoring twice to lead the Angels to a 9-8 win over Houston. The Cuban-American shortstop has now launched 24 longballs on the campaign and driven in a solid 77 runs.
Tristón Casas blasted three homers and drove in seven runs to pace Boston in their 8-1 win over Minnesota in the first game of a doubleheader. The Bosox swept the twin billing and a Romy González fifth inning three-run shot led the charge. González has now gone yard six times on the season, while Casas has also deposited 12 balls on the seats.
