Roel Santos homer helps Los Mochis walk it off in the Liga ARCO. (+Cuban Winter League Report)

Roel Santos went yard for the first on the campaign in the ninth inning to give Los Mochis 7-6 walk-off win against the Mayos de Navojoa. The outfielder also collected three hits on the day to raise his average to a robust .444 on the season. His teammate and countrymen Yasmany Tomás also hit paydirt with his own seventh inning three-run blast to help the cause.

In Venezuela Yoel Yanqui hit a pinch-hit three-run bomb in the the sixth inning to give Magallanes an insurmountable 6-3 in their contest with Aragua. The Navegantes went on to win the game by the count of 7-3. The power-hitting Cuban now hits a solid .500 on the young season.

Richard Guasch notched his first win in the LVBP after tossing 1⅓ innings of scoreless ball to close the game in which he fanned a batter during Anzoátegui’s 8-7 win over Caracas. The Oakland prospect looked very dominant in relief for the tribe and could have an expanding based on his performance yesterday.
