In yesterday afternoon’s contest he collected three hits in four trips to the plate, including an eighth inning two-run homerun to pace the Mariners’ 15-7 win over the Tigers. The outfielder also scored four times on the day and now hits .305 over his last 15 games.
Raisel Iglesias notched his 11th save of the season after tossing a scoreless ninth inning in which he fanned a batter to secure an Atlanta’s 7-6 victory over the Cardinals. The right-hander has not allowed an earned run over his last seven outings.
Yanquiel Fernández swatted three hits in four at-bats, drove in a run and also scored a run on the night during Colorado’s 4-3 loss to the Reds. The rookie outfielder saw his average rise to a solid .333 and sports an OPS of .750 on the campaign.
