Luis Danys Morales continues to look dominant in his short MLB career. The right-hander tossed seven innings of two-hit, no-run ball during the Athletics 7-0 shutout the Detroit Tigers to secure his second win of the year. The Cuban hurler also fanned seven and walked two to watch his ERA descend to 1.19 on the campaign.

Yordan Álvarez swatted his fourth homerun of the season, a two-run shot in his second game back from injury during the Astros’ 4-0 win over Colorado. The slugger from Las Tunas, Cuba scored twice on the day and saw his average rise to .212 , while also augmenting his RBI total to 20 on the season.

Aroldis Chapman notched his 26th save of the season after striking out all three batters he faced in pitching a scoreless ninth inning during Boston’s 3-2 victory over the Orioles. The flamethrower now has 361 career saves and saw his ERA fall to 1.04 on the campaign.

Adolis García exploded for four hits in six trips to the plate including his 18 homerun of the season, a three-run bomb in the first inning. In total the outfielder drove in five runs to lead Texas to a 20-3 thrashing of the Angels. The outfielder who also scored three times in the game is now fourth amongst Cubans with 72 runs batted in on the season.
