Yadir Drake launched a three-run second inning homerun, his sixth on the season during the Águilas de Mexicali’s 10-6 loss to the Jaguares de Nayarit. The Cuban slugger saw his average fall to .304 and has now driven in 35 runs on the season.
Also in México Yasmany Tomás swatted his sixth longball, a two-run shot as well to lead the Cañeros de Los Mochis to a 6-5 win over the Tucson Baseball Team. The “Cuban Tank” has now knocked in 22 runs on the winter campaign.
In the Asociación de Béisbol Profesional Nicaragüense Henry Urrutia swatted a hit in four trips to the plate, a run-scoring eigth inning single to center field, but the Gigantes de Rivas still fell to El Tren del Norte 2-1. Urrutia saw his average fall to .280 on the season.
