Lourdes Gurriel  returned to action by swatt a run-scoring fourth inning single in four trips to the plate to do his part during the Arizona Diamondbacks 4-3 victory over the Los Angeles Angels. The native of Sancti Spíritus, Cuba now hits .229 on the campaign.

Sal Stewart collected a hit in four trips to the plate, while also driving in a run via a single in the second inning to do his part in Reds 12-0 blanking of the New York Mets. The Cuban-American slugger has now driven in 43 runs on the season.

Although he did not factor in the decision Nick Martinez tossed five and-a-third innings of five-hit, three-run ball during Tampa’s 4-3 loss to the Dodgers. The Cuban-American righty saw his earned run average rise to 2.63 on the season.
