Albert Lara walks-it-off against Veracruz in extra-innings. (+Mexican League Report)

Albert Lara collected two hits in three trips to the plate. The All-Star infielder also knocked in two runs via a double in the seventh inning single in the eighth inning to lead Unión Laguna to a 6-5 walk-off  win over El Águila de Veracruz in the second game of a doubleheader between both ballclubs.

For Lara it was his first walk-off of the year. The Cuban also went 1-for2 in the first game of the twin billing and Unión Laguna fell to El Águila 5-2. The shortstop, who is having a career year now hits a sparkling. .340 and his driven in 31 runs on the campaign.

Yadir Drake also got in on the act with a pair of hit in both games, while also scoring a run to help the cause for the Algodoneros. The veteran slugger now hits a solid .297 on the season and is hitting .344 since his arrival in Unión Laguna.
