Yordan Álvarez homered for the 25th time on the season, a solo-shot and his only hit on the day in two trips to the plate during the first inning of the Houston Astros‘ 2-1 win over the Cleveland Guardians. Alvarez also scored twice on the day and saw his average rise to .322 on the year.

Yandy Díaz collected two hits in three trips to the plate including a run-scoring double in third of the Tampa Bay Rays’ 4-3 victory over the Washington Nationals. The Cuban slugger saw his rise to .326 and has driven in 49 runs on the campaign.

Zach Neto launched a ninth inning two-run homer, his only hit on the day in five trips to the plate which marked the difference in the Los Angeles Angels 9-7 triumph over the Athletics. The Cuban-American shortstop has now gone yard 15 times on the season.
