JC Escarra knocked in three runs via a sacrifice fly, single and a triple in the Águilas Cibaeñas 13-6 thrashing of the Toros del Este. The Cuban-American catcher hits .292 and has now driven in 10 runs on the winter campaign.
Yadir Drake collected three hits in four trips to the plate, drove in two runs via a first inning double and a third inning single, while also stealing a base to lead los Águilas de Mexicali to a 7-3 win over the Tucson Baseball Team in the Liga ARCO Mexicana del Pacífico. The slugger now hits .327 on the season and leads all Cubans this winter with 12 stolen bases.
Also in México Leonys Martín homered for the sixth time on the season, a three-run six inning shot and scored twice to do his part in Los Mochis 10-6 victory over Hermosillo. The outfielder now hits .262 and is tied for the Liga ARCO lead in longballs.
Yasmany Tomás also got in on the action by launching a homerun of his own, amongst his two hits on the day. The first baseman also drove in another a run via a sacrifice fly and now has 14 RBI on the campaign. Tomás is starting to heat up after a slow start with the lumber.
